healing, caring and sharing

Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls. The most massive characters are seared with scars.

“most importantly love
like it's the only thing you know
at the end of the day
all this means nothing
this page
where you're sitting
your degree
your job
your money
nothing even matters
except love and human connection
who you loved
and how deeply you loved them
how you touched the people around you
and how much you gave them”

to keep what we are going to eventually lose, we are putting way too much effort in it

Blank billboard outside the window, dull, blow. The wind blows like how I exhale a long traffic of smoke. The wind also blows through my hair. It blows through the long afternoon that's made of words and gestures. Clouded, crowded atmosphere. Change of clothes, I look at the window, force of habit I guess, came to realize how I should be careful what I wished for. What the hell.

When I grow up, I wanna be hella romantic!

Missing canadian sunshine

And then I wake up on a rain kissed morning in Vancouver, stripped all of my layers, intertwined between a dream and the reality. No longer afraid of anything because everything fits just right.

if you drink enough vodka, it tastes like love

The yogis, however, say that human discontentment is a simple case of mistaken identity. We are miserable because we think we are mere individuals, alone with fears, flaws and resentment as well as mortality. We wrongly believe that our limited little egos constitute our whole entire nature. We have failed to recognise our deeper divine character. We don't realise that somewhere within us all, there does exist a supreme self who is eternally at peace. That supreme self is our true identity, universal and divine.

Labels

I really hate stereotypes and labels and I will always try to stick to ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ because we should not. We should not assume we know anything about anyone just because we happen to know one aspect of their person. And we all know that when assume you make an ass out of me and you.
However, our society sadly needs labels. I would love to live the idealist world Lennon painted in ‘Imagine’ but we all know that won’t happen. Our world is just so fucked up that to remove labels would be like removing the foundations of a house. We can’t function without them, we need them to stabilize out day to day lives. Because we all judge, be it consciously and subconsciously…I’m not saying it’s right, but it is what we do.
We enjoy putting people in nice, categorical, little niches in our heads so that (well, we tell ourselves this) we can ‘understand’ them better. Is it bullshit? Probably.
As sad as this will sound, people just need to accept that labels will always be there. Stereotypes will continue to prevail in people’s mind and because of this people will judge you.
I just want to make one thing clear: I am not giving up.
I am just trying to be realistic.
‘Cause we all have to grow up at some point.
