Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin can openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life . . .

But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons?

There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?

Avoiding.

We would like to hang out with all those empty eyes, and tell everybody that we are too exhausted. But we all know that it is beyond bullshit, yes we are tired, but its not because of the absence of sleep. We are tired because we don't have anything to look forward to, and we do a tons of things to do that gives us no enjoyment whatsoever. We are tired of being lonely, even though we know that we are surrounded by dozens of people. We are ignoring, because they never teach us to express or question things.

Oh well, I say screw you and your attitude. Screw all those fake ass smiles and polite greetings, Oh I am fine, thank yous. Fuck all the lies we spit to cover our problems. Not giving a fuck is mainstream now because we like to avoid what we are going through, as my father always said, best way to not getting your heart broken is to act like you don't have a heart.

We are meant to be feel, we are flesh and blood. I believe that we should never avoid what we have gone through, we are all humans after all. If not, what is left to show?
